Photo to Video AI: Bring Your Photos to Life

Turn a still photo into a short, moving shot without editing software. Wan3's image to video mode works with photos, product renders, illustrations, and concept art saved as JPEG, PNG, BMP, WebP, or HEIC/HEIF. Your image becomes the first frame or a reference for the video, and Wan3 follows your written direction for motion, camera movement, and mood.

Billed by the duration you choose · Credits returned if a generation fails.

How Photo to Video AI Works

  1. Open the creator and choose Image to video.

  2. Upload a JPEG, PNG, BMP, WebP, or HEIC/HEIF image (up to 20 MiB for W3.0 models, under 30 MB for Seedance 2.5; very wide or tall images may not be accepted) as the first frame or as a reference image.

  3. Describe what should move: the subject, the camera, the light.

  4. Pick model, length, and resolution, check the credit cost shown before generating, then download the MP4.

What You Can Animate

Product shots that need a slow push-in, travel photos that deserve a drifting camera, food photos with rising steam, portraits with subtle movement. One clear idea per generation gives the most reliable result.

Motion & Camera Control

Write motion like shot direction: "slow dolly-in, warm side light, mist drifting left." Name one camera move and keep instructions consistent. Videos also come with native audio generated to match the visuals.

Models and Formats

  • W3.0: 480P to 1080P, clips from 2 to 30 seconds, aspect ratio 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 4:3, or 3:4.
  • W3.0 Pro and Prime Pro (members): start at 1080P and go up to 4K.
  • Seedance 2.5: up to 1080P, clips from 4 to 30 seconds. With a first-frame image, the aspect ratio adapts to your image automatically.

480P and 720P are available on non-Pro models with any credits. 1080P and above need an active Basic, Pro, or Max membership.

Pricing

Credits are charged by the duration you select. On standard W3.0, one credit equals one second of 720P video; 480P uses 0.5 credits per second and 1080P uses 2. Pro models, higher resolutions, and Seedance 2.5 show their own cost before you generate. Failed generations return their credits automatically. See plans and credit packs.

FAQ

What photo formats can I upload?

JPEG, PNG, BMP, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF. Images can be up to 20 MiB for W3.0 models and must be under 30 MB for Seedance 2.5.

How long can the video be?

2 to 30 seconds with W3.0 models, 4 to 30 seconds with Seedance 2.5.

Can I get 1080P, 2K or 4K?

Yes, with an active Basic, Pro, or Max membership. 4K is available on W3.0 Pro and Prime Pro.

Which models can I use?

W3.0, W3.0 Pro and Prime Pro (members only), and Seedance 2.5.

Can I choose the aspect ratio?

Yes on W3.0 models. On Seedance 2.5 with a first-frame image, the ratio follows your image.

What happens if a generation fails?

The reserved credits are returned automatically.

Can I download the result?

Yes, as an MP4 file.

Is this the same as image to video AI?

Yes. Photo to video uses Wan3's image to video mode, so a supported image file (JPEG, PNG, BMP, WebP, HEIC/HEIF within the size and aspect ratio limits) can be the first frame or a reference image.

First frame or reference image: what's the difference?

As a first frame, your image is exactly where the clip begins. As a reference, the model uses it to guide subject and style while composing a new shot.
